the results
Skylar is doing great ready for baby food vegetables and working towards two meals a day plus the rice cereal.
Skylar is above the 97% for height meaning she is really long/tall, and she is in the 50% for weight. They said she has a beautiful growth chart and is doing perfectly. At this rate she is going to be one tall string bean.
Their only concern was her horn, and that we get it check out by a dermatologist. So I will schedule that today.

6 month check up today
Skylar is on her way to her 6 month check up. These are great and hard. Great to see how she is doing, how long she is and how much she weighs. Hard because she has to get her shots ;(

I am 6 months today
Today is Skylar's birthday and my heart fills with love the more she changes and grows up. She has such personality. Right now she likes to do her own thing, she does not seem to like class settings, hopefully she grows out of that. When we go to any class, ecfe or swimming she squells and sings and does not listen to the teacher, and then when it is time to do activities you need to work hard to get her to focus. It is funny because on her own she focuses really well and concentrates and is incredibly smart. She is a joy and I love her so much I can't believe it. Though the occasional break is needed I find I can't wait to hold her again and kiss her and see her smile and her laugh. She is such a joy and Jared and I are most blessed to have her in our lives. I feel so lucky. We went through a time when we were not sure if we could get pregnant and then with each unsuccessful try my heart would sink. Now I know that the wait was more than worth it.
swimmin
If I hang onto my suit tight enough I will be fine
Skylar's first swimming lesson. Well it was challenging. She is the youngest baby in class most were closer to a year. We learned how to get in with them safely, what flotation devises were safe ( not water wings!) and then class started. All Sky wanted to do was splash and squell or sing as we call it making it hard for the other baby's to hear and pay attention. Leave it my kid to be the loudest in class. We learned cuing and pulling and floating on our backs, we talked to the fish by blowing bubbles in the water (sky could not do this yet) and we listened to the fish talk to us by putting our ear in the water (sky did not like this much at all) , we sang songs the hooky pooky and splashed and had free time. U ff Da I think it was more of a work out for me than for her. She just wanted to splash and play with the toys. We will see how next week goes.
