a long night in the er
she is fine first of all...here is the run down. Jared and I were out on a date great by the way and nama and napa seipp were watching sky and the dogs. Sky had been feeling a bit under the weather since Friday small fever and throwing up that night, but just a fever on and off all day Saturday. It all started when she was getting ready for bed, her fever went up and when nama was holding her to put her to sleep she had a very scarey moment when her eyes twitched and she glazed over and was unresponsive for a minute or so. Nama held her up and loudly cried out her name and she was limp like a rage doll then she started to respond again. We got home minutes later and called nurse help line. I checked her temp and it was 103.1 not good, they said bring her in right away. So we went to Methodist they gave her some motrin to help with the fever and then we waited to be seen. Once in the room the nurses and doctor were amazing!!!! They took xrays of her chest totally miserable for a 15 month old and mom because they put her in the horrible contraption to keep her still. Then the doctor came in to talk to us. She had had a febrile seizure something that happens when their temperature spikes. 1 in 25 children gets them. For the most part they are harmless she may have get them again just because she has had one now. Next step they put a cathider in to check for a urinary infection. The results were positive to a urinary infection and a small amount of fluid in her lung. So we went to get antibiotics for that and motrin, all in all she is doing well 9:39 am and still sleeping. We were in the ER from 8:45-12:45 so she is pretty tired. Thanks to Nama and Napa for sticking it out with Jared and I it was great to have family there. Keep Sky in your thoughts and prayers for the next few days to get her back to 100%. What a trouper she is she is, so strong, you all would have been very proud of her. I know Jared and I are! The doctors and nurses loved her as she waved a blew kisses and talked to them and draw on the charts. She was a hit even though she was sick. What an angel we have.
